High Wind Procedures

Standard procedures are applied during periods of high winds. Wind speeds are monitored and the restrictions are implemented at pre-determined thresholds.


The Restrictions and Thresholds are as follows:

Restrictions
45mph  
Bridge Closed to Double Decker Buses.
60mph

Bridge Closed to all vehicles except Cars and Single Decker Buses.

Central Walkway is Closed to Pedestrians and Cyclists.
80mph 
Bridge Closed to all Vehicles.

       

Abolition of Tolls
